STEREOLAB

STEREOLAB - Live, Variety Playhouse, Atlanta, GA, 11.12.1999
Someone e-mailed me a few months ago, asking if I had any Stereolab live sets, because he couldn’t seem to find any. Can’t remember the guy’s name, but, here ya go!
I’ve seen them pro’lly three or four times, all around the time of this set’s recording. I’ve since lost some interest in them, because I think every single release they’ve come out with in the last few years has sounded exactly the same. I know that’s heresy for Stereolab fans to hear — but ya gotta admit, it’s true. I still like them an awful lot, but I usually stick with the pre ’00s stuff, although I think one of their greatest records is an EP from 2000 called “The First Of The Microbe Hunters”, which I highly recommend.
