BILL HICKS (part 1 of 2)

BILL HICKS - 3 live sets
I’ve gotten in six separate Bill Hicks sets that aren’t part of the CD issues that have come out of Rykodisc and other labels over the years, all from the early ’90s. Some are of lousy audio quality, but the man was a genius, so what the fuck does it matter?
Also, you might notice that some material overlaps, if you listen to all of these. Quite an eye-opener, since Hicks was so good at sounding off-the-cuff that it’s hard to wrap your brain around the fact that he had rehearsed anything.

Thanks a lot for the share. There may be a lot of Bill stuff out there, but a little more is always welcome.

As much as I love Bill Hicks, yeah, I had this problem with the Rykodisc CDs. Not so much that he was repeating material, but that it sounded like his delivery and the content itself wasn’t much different in the overlaps, and there were too many “repeats.” Hicks himself can’t be to blame, though, as (if I’m not mistaken) only one of those CDs was released with his input.
